Canteen Volunteers
Its with much regret i have to inform you all that one of our members will be leaving us . Anna Frusilli is taking time away from pony club to concentrate on her apprenticeship and eventing. Anna and her parents Sam and Lucy are been valuable members of our club and we wish them well for the future.

This means that we will need to organise a roster system for the remaining Canteen days for the year as Sam and Lucy are our Canteen Managers. They will be here for this rally and our up coming closed show. If anyone would like to step forward and volunteer come and speak to someone on the committee during the rally or email me.

Thanks

Jaqui

News, Event entries and C Certificates
Well we are back from all the excitment of the tetrathlon. Our riders were an asset to the club and proved that Peel MH&PC are a force to be reckoned with.
I hope those of you that were at the Rally on Sunday had a great day.

A few PCAWA championship events are coming up.

First is the Run Offs for the Zone Showjumping Teams for the Zone Teams at the State Championships.. They will be held at the Serpentine Pony Club Grounds on the 21st of April. The onus is on the rider to get their entries in for these events , not the club. If you wish to compete in this event i will need to sign your form aswell as Dianne Ould so PLEASE act quickly and get orgasnised. The fees for this event are paid by the rider not the club . Please be aware of that when entering. If you need assistance call me 0458359954

State Showjumping Championships. Again if you wish to compete at this event you must have myself and Dianne sign your form and you must be competeant at heights over 60cms. The entry packs will be available on the PCAWA website very soon so watch the calander and dont miss out. Again the fees for this event need to be paid BY the rider and either a chq will need to accompany your entry or you will need to pay by Direct Debit into the PCAWA bank account and their details will be on the entry forms. The club does not pay these in advance for you. It is a fantastic event and i hope to see lots of Black and Red flying over jumps up there on the day. If you are not sure if your capable at these heights/programs then talk to either Dianne or Carolyn NOW before the entries are due so they can make arrangements to assess you.

Following all that if you and your steed are not totally exhusted you can then start training for the Dressage Championships. Wandi will host the Zone run offs for those who are interested ( venue TBA ) . The Championships will be the same deal as the jumping in regards to entires so if your interested mark your calanders and watch the PCAWA website for the entry packs.

C Certificates.
Lou Hardwick is organising a C certificate ASSEMENT SCHOOL. This is like a dummy run through the exam. PLEASE let either myself or Lou know if your interested in a place in this school. Even if your not 100% sure if you are ready or are not old enough untill the following year NOW may be your best chance at attending an assessment school as they are not always run before the exams and you may not have another chance. IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH INTEREST THE SCHOOL WILL NOT BE HELD. You need to reply ASAP if your heading towards the C certificate and you wish to be included in this school. More details will be available as numbers are known.

Club Fees
Club Fees are due at the start of every pony club year. If you have not paid your membership fees then please do so ASAP.

Hope you are all enjoying the cooler weather and can find those warmer rugs we all packed away so many months ago.

See you all at the next rally.
Cheers
Jaqui

Unoffical Hack Day
Peel had their annual Unofficial hack Day yesterday and despite a lite spattering of rain very early we were blessed with the weather. The club would like to thanks Ros and her family for their efforts in organising the show.

Ros would like to extend her thanks to Carolyn who Judged the Lead line First Ridden ring. Leanne King, Jenny LeMessurier and Cassie Sturm for their efforts as Marshalls/Pencillers. Sam and Lucy Frisulli for their running of the canteen, Phil Davis for his duties that are too nurmerous to list and to Carolyns Uncle who came all the way from Canada for a holiday and took time out to mow our grass arenas for the show!!!!!!

The day was a success and general feedback was that competitors love our low key affair as a great way to get going for the year ahead. Many use it to bring out youngsters to indroduce them to competition. Although it was a "no plaits " affair the standard of dress was very high and mounts turned out beautifully indicating that it is still seen as a competetive program. What a wonderful thing for our club to be known for.

Thanks to Saddles Plus who kindly donated prizes for the LeadLine/First Ridden ring as did Saddleworld who have now sadly closed their doors.

Thanks all and please get your registrations to Dianne for the next rally sooner rather than later.
