There were 180+ participants in this years event and Peel were represented by 6 riders In C and D Grade across 3 age groups. Senior C Grade - Cassy Sturm (5th in teams and 16th individually), Nicole Hall (5th in teams and 10th individually) Senior D Grade - Tamryn Davis (12th in team and 32nd indivdually) Junior D Grade - Mackenzy Burnett (5th in teams and 22nd individually) Victoria Corver (5th in teams and 42nd individually) Hayley Hardwick (5th in teams and 20th individually) A huge thank you to Tanika Harman (and family), who even after Tanika broke her elbow still came for the weekend and showed great support for the club and its riders. HORSES The One Horse, One Rider Rule will apply for all Pony Club and Open Classes, e.g. Horses may be entered for one class only and may not be entered in any other class. RIDERS There is no limit to the number of Competitors a Club can enter. If there are insufficient members to form a team, then they will be included in a composite team. Riders may only compete in one class. ELIGIBILITY Please refer Tetrathlon Rules, Part I Rule 1. 3 rally rule is applied here (You must have been to 3 rallies with your horse in the 12 months prior to the event) RIFLE SHOOTING PERMITS Changes to Police Legislation in 1999 relating to shooting permits means that competitors no longer require shooting permits. Competitors will comply with the updated police legislation by: * competing on an approved rifle range * the shooting competition taking place under the control of the Holder of the Firearm License. 2009 Tetrathlon The Tetrathlon was held at Narrogin for the last time with it being held at Avon next year. It was a huge success and a fantastic weekend. Approx 140 competitors entered this year from all over the state with competitors traveling from as far away as Esperance and Kalgoorlie. Tanika and Cassy (combined with 2 riders from Eastern Hills) came 1st in the Senior C Grade team and 7th and 14th individually in their class. Tanika and Cassy's team also placed third in the shooting trophy. Hayley (combined with Kalgoorlie and Serpentine) came 8th in the Junior D grade and 30th individually in her class. Riders had to run 1500m, swim for 4 minutes, shoot 30m .22 rifle target and ride a cross country course which included a slip rail and gate element. Full results are at the PCAWA site.
